Stockhausen is a district of the city of Meschede in the Hochsauerlandkreis . The place is on the L 743 (formerly B7 ) around four kilometers west of Meschede between the A 46 to the north and the Ruhr in the south .
history
In a Meschede deed from 997, Emperor Otto III. the pin Meschede belonged to the main yard to Stockhausen, to which about 20 more farmsteads. The Good Stockhausen was then the headquarters of the Westphalian noble family Stockhausen . In the 14th century, the Oberhof was subject to 22 estates.
As part of the municipal reorganization , Stockhausen became a district of the new city of Meschede on January 1, 1975.
