Frielinghausen is a district of Meschede in the North Rhine-Westphalian Hochsauerlandkreis . The farm with chapel on the Kleine Henne is about five kilometers northwest of Westernbödefeld . The place is on the L 740.

history

Before the Thirty Years War there was a small settlement with three farms, all of which burned down in the Thirty Years War. These courtyards of the Schultenhof in Köttinghausen belonged to the rule of the Meschede Monastery , later to the leaning of the Lords of Meschede zu Alme . The Schultenhof, which was recorded in the Arnsberg camp books in 1599 , was still desolate in 1669 and was used by and united with the Niederhof. The Middelhof, the smallest of the three courtyards, was merged with the Niederhof in the middle of the 19th century, which was the only remaining courtyard. In 1876 Lucia Chapel was built on the Albers farm in Frielinghausen. South of Frielinghausen is the central waste disposal site of the Hochsauerlandkreis, which was put into operation in 1997.
