Windhäuser is a district of Meschede in the North Rhine-Westphalian Hochsauerlandkreis .
Geographical location
The place is located on Landstrasse 840 and on the Ruhrtal nature reserve near Laer around 500 meters west of Laer Castle and 300 meters south of the Laer tower ruins . The neighboring villages are Berghausen , Calle and Meschede.
history
Workers' apartments for Count von Westphalen were built in Windhäuser . The exact time when they were built is not known. There is evidence that people lived in Windhäuser as early as 1888. In 1912, according to Meyer's Orts- und Verkehrslexikon, a total of six people lived in the village.
