Frenkhausen is a district of the city of Meschede in the Hochsauerlandkreis .
geography
The place is about ten kilometers west of Meschede . The Erlenwald nature reserve south of Frenkhausen borders the town. The L 686 runs through Frenkhausen. The Frenkhausener Bach flows into the Kesselbach near the village. In the place there is a holiday home area. The neighboring places are Olpe and Herblinghausen .
history
In the 14th century there were three hooves from the Meschede monastery in “Frenchusen” or “Vrenchusen” . Since the reorganization by the Sauerland / Paderborn law on January 1, 1975, Frenkhausen has belonged to the Hochsauerlandkreis and is a district of the city of Meschede.

The listed Catholic chapel of St. Hubertus stands on Gut Frenkhausen. It was added to the list of monuments of the city of Meschede on September 6, 1984 .
