Herblinghausen is a district of the city of Sundern (Sauerland) in the Hochsauerlandkreis , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The place is east of Sundern. Road 686 runs through the village. The village is located in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge nature reserve .
history
Herblinghausen is registered with 160 inhabitants for 1939. From 1953 to 1969 the place belonged to the Arnsberg district .
Hellefeld is and was the main parish of the surrounding villages. The parish of Hellefeld is also known as the "Old Testament" by the population, as it comprises twelve settlements analogous to the twelve tribes of Israel. In addition to Herblinghausen, these include Altenhellefeld, Bainghausen, Frenkhausen, Hellefeld, Linnepe, Meinkenbracht, Schnellenhaus, Selschede, Visbeck, Wennighausen and Westenfeld.
On January 1, 1975 Herblinghausen was incorporated into Sundern (Sauerland).
