Langscheid is a district of Sundern (Sauerland) in the Sauerland , Hochsauerlandkreis , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The climatic health resort is located on the hills west of the dam of the Sorpe dam .

history

Langscheid was first mentioned in a document in 1307.

On January 1, 1975, Langscheid was incorporated into Sundern (Sauerland).

Description:

The coat of arms symbols appear on a seal for the first time in 1652 and later in the Arnsberg coat of arms collection from 1700. The official approval took place on October 26, 1911 with the Enkhausen church patron St. Laurentius as the shield holder.
