Recklinghausen (Sundern)
Recklinghausen is a village in the Sauerland and a district of the Endorf district of Sundern in the Hochsauerlandkreis . Recklinghausen is about 3 kilometers northwest of Endorf.
It was first mentioned in documents in 1202. It belonged to the parish of Stockum . In 1875 Recklinghausen was incorporated into the Endorf school district by the Stockum school district, and later it also belonged to the Endorf parish. The chapel of St. James is one of the historic buildings .
The place belonged to the pre-industrial and early industrial assembly-commercial places in the Sundern area. A hammer mill probably existed from 1760 until the 19th century. The Christianenhütte also produced until the 19th century.
