The Messe Berlin GmbH is the operator of the exhibition center Berlin Expo Center City (exhibition center under the radio tower) and Berlin Airport Expo Center and, with a group turnover of 347 million euros to the selling exhibition companies worldwide. In November 2018, the second droidcon took place in San Francisco . Previously, Messe Berlin organized the droidcon in June in the City Cube Berlin. The event is an independent conference series for Android developers.

On May 5, 2014, the new, congress-compatible exhibition hall CityCube Berlin was opened at the Berlin ExpoCenter City , which has since been available with an exhibition area of ​​over 12,000 m² for events with a capacity of up to 11,000 participants.

Another expansion process, the new event site Berlin ExpoCenter Airport next to the future Berlin Brandenburg Airport , was opened on July 3, 2012. The ILA Berlin Air Show takes place on this site.

In November 2017, the new construction of the column-free multifunctional hall hub27 Berlin began on the exhibition grounds . The hall has a usable area of 10,000 m² and will open on August 20, 2019. The hall and other adjoining rooms offer more space for congresses, meetings and conferences with up to 11,500 participants. Initially, however, hub27 will serve as an alternative area for other halls on the site that need to be renovated.
