from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Metrô de Goiânia is a future project for the development of a sustainable local transport system in the Brazilian city of Goiânia . With a planned route length of 15 km and 18 stations, the Linha Norte-Sul (north-south) is planned with an above-ground route in the first section of 8.4 km. This should start from Perimetral / Cruzeiro do Sul station and lead to Vila Brasília / Aparecida de Goiânia . Later, the route will continue to the bus station and in the center of the city to Jardim Curitiba. Underground construction is also planned here because of the heavy traffic. In addition, 5 stations are to be connected directly to bus systems.
