Aparecida de Goiânia , officially Município de Aparecida de Goiânia , is a Brazilian political municipality and the second largest city in the state of Goiás in the Mesoregion Central Goiás and in the microregion Goiânia . It is located southwest of the Brazilian capital Brasília and 21 km south of the capital Goiânia .
The municipality belongs to the Goiânia metropolitan area .
