Posse is a municipality ( municipio ) in the Vão do Paranã region in the Brazilian state of Goiás .

It is located on the BR-020 highway from Brasília to Salvador da Bahia , almost 300 km northeast of the Brazilian capital, only about 25 km from the border with Bahia .
