Matrinchã is a small Brazilian , political municipality in the state of Goiás in the mesoregion of Northwest Goiás and in the microregion Rio Vermelho . It is located west of the Brazilian capital Brasília and northwest of the capital Goiânia .

Geographical location

The municipality extends along the right, northern bank of the Rio Vermelho and borders the municipalities:

• to the north at Aruanã and Araguapaz
• to the east at Faina
• in the south at Goiás Velho and Itapirapuã
• to the west with Britânia
