Caçu , officially Portuguese Município de Caçu , alternatively Cassu , is a Brazilian political municipality in the state of Goiás . It is located southwest of the Brazilian capital Brasília and the capital of the state, Goiânia . Caçu is located in the extreme southwest of Goiás on a plateau with 469 m with a flat topography .

The municipality lies between the border rivers Rio Claro in the east and Rio Verde in the west. Both flow from northwest to southeast and flow as right tributaries into the Rio Paranaíba or its Ilha-Solteira reservoir , which forms the southeastern municipal boundary to the state of Minas Gerais .
