Divinópolis de Goiás is a political municipality in the Midwest ( Região Central-Oeste ) of Brazil in the state of Goiás in the mesoregion East Goiás and in the microregion Vão do Paranã . It is located north-northwest of the Brazilian capital Brasília and northwest of the capital Goiânia .
Mangabeiras, São Pedro, Porteira and Vazante are also located in the municipality.
Geographical location
Divinópolis de Goiás is located in the central Brazilian mountains at 620 meters and borders
- from north to south on São Domingos
- to the west on Monte Alegre de Goiás
Hydrographically, the municipality drains via the spring waters of the Rio Manso and its right tributary Riacho Seco via the Rio Paranã into the Rio Tocantins basin .
