Baliza is a Brazilian political community in the state of Goiás in the mesoregion Northwest Goiás and in the micro-region Aragarças . It is located west of the Brazilian capital Brasília and west-northwest of the capital Goiânia on the upper reaches of the Rio Araguaia .
