Lagoa Santa , officially Portuguese Município de Lagoa Santa , is a Brazilian political municipality in the state of Goiás . It is located southwest of the Brazilian capital Brasília and 420 km from Goiânia , the capital of the state.

As of July 1, 2019, the population was estimated at 1588 inhabitants, who are called Lagoensians ( lagoenses or lagosentenses ) and live on a community area of ​​around 458.9 km².

• in the southwest at Paranaíba - ( MS )

The municipality is located on the left bank of the Rio Aporé , which flows from northwest to southeast and flows into the Rio Paranaíba and its Ilha Solteira reservoir as a right tributary .
