Acreúna , officially Município de Acreúna , is a Brazilian political municipality and city in the state of Goiás in the mesoregion of South Goiás and in the microregion Vale do Rio dos Bois .
It is located southwest of the Brazilian capital Brasília , and is 153 km away from the capital Goiânia , accessible via the BR-060 federal road . The Brazilian statistical office estimated the population on July 1, 2019 at 22,366 inhabitants.
Edmar Oliveira Alves Neto des Partido da Social Democracia Brasileira (PSDB) has been city prefect since the local elections in 2016 .
