Montes Claros de Goias is a Brazilian political community and a district in the state of Goiás in the mesoregion Northwest Goiás and in the micro-region Aragarças . It is located west of the Brazilian capital Brasília and west-northwest of the capital Goiânia .
Other districts in the municipality are Aparecida do Rio Claro, Registro do Araguaia and Lucilândia.
