The micro-region Aragarças is a total of 18 micro-regions of the State of Goiás in the Midwest of Brazil . It belongs to the mesoregion of Northwest Goiás .
Since 2000 the region has suffered a population decline from approx. 55,000 inhabitants to approx. 44,000 inhabitants as of 2010, which corresponds to a decrease of minus 20%.
Geographical location
The Aragarças microregion borders
- in the northeast on the community Jussara that the micro-region of Rio Vermelho belongs
- on the east by the micro-region Iporá which to mesoregion central Goiás belongs
- in the south to the microregion Sudoeste de Goiás in the mesoregion South Goiás
- in the northwest to the state of Mato Grosso .
