The mesoregion East Goiás ( port. : Mesorregião do Leste Goiano ) was one of five as internal geostatistical mesoregions 1989-2017 in the Brazilian state of Goiás . It did not belong to the administrative units of Brazil and was replaced by another regional division in 2017. East Goiás completely included the federal district with the Brazilian capital Brasília , which in turn forms the metropolitan region of Brasília as Região Integrada de Desenvolvimento do Distrito Federal e Entorno (German Integrated Development Region of the Federal District and Surroundings ). In the east, East Goiás bordered on the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais , on the south by the mesoregion South Goiás , in the west central Goiás and on the north by North Goiás . East Goiás comprised 32 municipalities (port: municípios ), which were grouped into the two micro-regions :
- Entorno de Brasília (also: Entorno do Distrito Federal)
- Vão do Paranã
