José Carlos de Oliveira CSsR (born March 14, 1931 in Aparecida de Goiânia ) is a Brazilian religious and former bishop of Rubiataba-Mozarlândia .

Life

José Carlos de Oliveira joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists in and received on 27 January 1957, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him prelate of Rubiataba-Mozarlândia on September 14, 1979 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil , Archbishop Carmine Rocco , donated him episcopal ordination on November 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Juvenal Roriz CSsR, Archbishop of Juiz de Fora , and Aloísio Ariovaldo Amaral CSsR, Bishop of Limeira .

On December 4, 1979, the Pope elevated the territorial prelature to a diocese and thus became the first bishop of Rubiataba-Mozarlândia. On February 27, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
