Aloísio Ariovaldo Amaral CSsR (born December 23, 1919 in Tabatinga , Brazil , † November 2, 1994 ) was Bishop of Campanha .

Life

Aloisio Ariovaldo Amaral joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists in and put on 2 February 1938, the profession from. He received on 1 August 1943, the sacrament of Holy Orders . From November 7, 1967 to September 17, 1973 Amaral was Superior General of the Redemptorists.

On April 29, 1976, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the first bishop of Limeira . The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Carmine Rocco , donated him episcopal ordination on June 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Campinas , Antônio Maria Alves de Siqueira , and the Prelate of Rubiataba , Juvenal Roriz CSsR.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Campanha on April 14, 1984. On May 15, 1991, John Paul II accepted Aloísio Ariovaldo Amaral's resignation.
