Hamilton North and Bellshill was a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 1999 as one of ten constituencies in the electoral region of Central Scotland and abolished during the revision in 2011. The area was essentially in the new constituencies of Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse and Uddingston and Bellshill . It comprised areas of the North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire Council Areas . Hamilton and Bellshill were among the largest cities in the urban constituency south-east of Glasgow. In the 2001 census survey, a total of 69,459 people lived within its borders. The constituency sent a deputy.
