Mia Sara

Mia Sara (* 19th June 1967 in New York as Mia Sarapocciello ) is an American actress of Italian descent.

Career

Mia Sara began her career in 1985 at the age of 17, starring in the fantasy film Legend alongside Tom Cruise . A year later, she gained greater fame for her role as Sloane Peterson in the film Ferris Makes Blue , in which she played the friend of Matthew Broderick aka Ferris Bueller .

She then starred in the television film Queenie and appeared in 1994 on the side of Jean-Claude Van Damme in the film Timecop . For this role, Sara also received the Best Supporting Actress award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films .

Personal

Sara was born in Brooklyn , New York . Her father is a photographer and her mother a stylist and photographer. She has a younger sister. She attended Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn.

In March 1996 she married Jason Connery , son of Sean Connery , whom they met while filming the film The Palmer Files: The Red Death . In June 1997 their son was born. The marriage was divorced in 2002. Sara has a daughter with Brian Henson , the son of Jim Henson .
