Michał Chałbiński (born October 16, 1976 in Jastrzębie-Zdrój , Poland ) is a former Polish football player.

Career

Chałbiński began his career at the age of 17 with Piotrcovia Piotrków Trybunalski, for whom he played for a year. He then returned to his youth club GKS 1962 Jastrzębie for two years before moving to GKS Katowice . In the following years Chałbiński never held it for more than a year at a club and he changed four times after only one season the club until he stayed for the first time three seasons in a row with Odra Wodzisław Śląski in 2000 .

After his time in Wodzisław Śląski he was signed by the then second division club SSV Jahn Regensburg and thus moved to a non-Polish club for the first time. In Regensburg , however, the striker could not record a successful time. In only eight games he failed to score. Since the Jahn had to relegate back to the Regionalliga after only one season , Chałbiński's contract was not extended and he moved back to Poland.

Since 2005 he has been employed by Zagłębie Lubin , with whom he became Polish Champion in 2007 and Polish Supercup Champion in 2008. At the end of 2008 he was deported to the second team of Zagłębie Lubin for unknown reasons and played in the fourth division. In 2009 Michał Chałbiński finally moved to league rivals Polonia Warsaw , where he could not prevail and only played 10 league games in 1.5 years. In the 2010/2011 season he was under contract with the then second division club Piast Gliwice , but did not get beyond the reserve role. In 2011 he came under suspicion of corruption and ended his active football career.
