Michał Walczak

Michał Walczak (born 1979 in Sanok ) is a Polish playwright who lives and works in Warsaw .

Life

Walczak attended the school in Sanok, the Warsaw School of Commerce and studied at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theater Academy in Warsaw . He made his debut in 2003 with the play The Sandpit , which was subsequently published in German, English, Hungarian, Czech and Italian translations. In Germany, the play in the production of the Mannheimer Theaterhaus G7 , directed by Alexander Schilling, was awarded both the audience award and the jury award for the best production at the Stuttgart Theater Prize in 2005.

At the Heidelberg Stückemarkt 2006, the comedy comedy for relationships received the "European Author's Award" for the first time .

Walczak also writes plays for children's theater .
