Michael Arenz (born March 21, 1954 in Berlin ) is a German writer .

Life

Michael Arenz grew up in Düsseldorf . After completing a master's degree in German and philosophy in Düsseldorf and Brussels , he worked as a freelance author in Bochum . In addition to the publication (since 1990) of poetry and prose in numerous literary magazines (including DreckSack , Der Sanitäter , Kalmenzone , floppy myriapoda , Junge Welt , Reibeisen , Lichtungen , Signum , Sterz , Art and Culture , Living Room ) and anthologies, also journalistic works and articles for radio (WDR, short stories, 1992–1997 and poems, 2018). From 1994 to 2013 he was the magazine The Mongol Waiting . Magazine for literature and art . From July 28th to September 8th 2012 the gallery abakus / Jo Eckhardt presented the exhibition Recognize what is there in Berlin-Weißensee . Photographs by Hansgert Lambers on poems by Michael Arenz . From May 2 to 29, 2019, the Kunstbunker gallery in Berlin-Schmargendorf presented the group exhibition Memo abakus u. a. with photographs by Hansgert Lambers on poems by Michael Arenz.
