The Mongol Waiting - Magazine for Literature and Art was a bound art magazine that was published once or twice a year from 1994 to 2013 and usually comprised around 500 pages .
Content
The concept was the juxtaposition of visual artists and authors. Extensive individual contributions gave an insight into the work of painters and writers and also provided detailed biographical portraits.
The literary spectrum included essays (including Erwin Chargaff , Nicolás Gómez Dávila , Walter Kappacher , Hermann Peter Piwitt , Claudio Magris , Michael Krüger , Gerhard Köpf , Wilhelm Genazino ), prose (including John Updike , Walker Percy , Maeve Brennan , Anne Enright , Edo Popović , Colm Tóibín , Samuel Beckett , Julien Gracq , Norman Manea , Robert Olmstead , Christoph Meckel ) and poetry (including Bernd Fischle , Florian Günther , Reinhard Henning, Michael Hillen , Ruth Velser, Dirk Bierbaß , Maximilian Zander , Kai Pohl, Clemens Schittko , Gerd Adloff , Michael Arenz ). In the field of fine arts , the "Mongol" presented artists such as B. Alfred Biber , Lovis Corinth , Dieter Glasmacher , Wolfgang E. Herbst, František Kyncl, Hansgert Lambers, Markus Lüpertz , Uwe Pfeifer , Hans Scheuerecker , Dieter Süverkrüp , Norbert Tadeusz and Maja Weber.
The editor was Michael Arenz . Today he lives as a freelance writer in Bochum.
