Michael Borlik

Michael Borlik (born October 18, 1975 in Brühl near Cologne ) is a German author for children and young people . He has published over thirty books.

biography

After graduating from the St. Ursula Gymnasium in Brühl , Borlik worked for some time as a forwarding agent . He later gave up the job to write books in addition to studying German . Today he lives near Leverkusen and works as a freelance writer . He mainly writes crime fiction and fantastic novels for Thienemann Verlag , which also appear as foreign licenses. In his crime novels, he not only portrays the young perpetrators as perpetrators, but also questions their social and family situations (subject: youth violence ). His fantastic novels combine real places with mythical elements. In 2006 he was awarded the German Fantastic Prize . The author is represented by AVA international GmbH.

In 2006 he won the German Fantasy Prize as co-editor of the anthology Wolfgang Hohlbein's Shadow Chronicle - The Eternally Dark Dream .
