Michael Düsing (athlete)

Michael Düsing (born April 10, 1955 ) is a former German sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

Düsing grew up in Türnich . In 1973 he passed the final exam at the Erftgymnasium in Bergheim . His classmates included the future foreign correspondents Willi Germund and Thomas Urban . After military service, he studied in Cologne Jura .

At the German championships in 1977 he finished second in the 4 x 400 meter relay . Until 1979 he started for Jugend 07 Bergheim , then for ASV Köln . At the German Indoor Championships he was second in 1979 and third in 1980. At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1979 in Vienna, he finished fourth.

He works as a lawyer in Bergisch Gladbach .
