Michael Di Pasqua
Michael Di Pasqua (born May 4, 1953 in Orlando (Florida) , † August 29, 2016 ) was an American modern jazz drummer .
Di Pasqua received drum lessons at the age of eight and at ten he played in his father's quartet, who played the tenor saxophone. He studied drums in New York City and worked as a studio musician. Between 1976 and 1980 he was a member of Double Image alongside David Friedman and Dave Samuels . He then played with Samuels, David Darling and Paul McCandless at Gallery and recorded the album Old Friends, New Friends with Ralph Towner . He was also involved in albums by Eberhard Weber , Jan Garbarek , Zoot Sims , Al Cohn and Gerry Mulligan .
