Michael Edward Howell (* 1933 ) is a British diplomat .

Life

Howell was Consul General of the United Kingdom in Berlin from 1981 to 1983 . From 1983 to 1986 he was Consul General in Frankfurt am Main .

Then he was High Commissioner in Papua New Guinea from 1986 to 1989 and in Mauritius from 1989 to 1993 .

He was honored with the appointment as Officer of the Order of the British Empire .
