Michael Forest (actually Gerald Michael Charlebois , born April 17, 1929 in Harvey , North Dakota ) is an American actor and voice actor .

Life

Forest came to Seattle with his family as a child ; later he attended the University of Washington . As a physically strong student, he trained for a career as a boxer , but then decided to take up acting. So he went to Los Angeles in 1955 and took lessons from Jeff Corey . He quickly became a member of Roger Corman's regular cast ; he also received offers from the stage and on television.

In 1968 Forest moved to Rome , where he made about 25 films over the next ten years and worked as a voice actor for the English-speaking market in over 500. After his return to the USA he was seen in the soap opera “As the World Turns”, which has been running since 1956 ; he also got roles on Broadway again . He later became part of the regular cast of "The Catlins".
