Michael Friis (* 1949 in Denmark) is a Danish bass guitarist , composer , producer , orchestra director and actor .

Life

As a bassist and musician, Friis mostly played with the musician Sebastian (alias Knud Torben Grabow Christensen ), Søren Kragh-Jacobsen , Lis Sørensen and with the folk music duo Lasse & Mathilde . As a bass player he always plays mostly on a fretless bass brand Mørch . At times, he was a member of various bands and music groups, including in the rock band Culpeper's Orchard and the Jazz - Orchestra Anima (band) . He is also chairman of the music house in Rønne on Bornholm . In recent years he has been able to exert a great influence on local music and culture in many contexts with his work as an active musician. B. on the annual Bornholm revues and with his many appearances in Denmark as well as with his blues clinics and jam sessions .

Michael Friis is also actively involved in several Danish theater projects , most recently at the Betty Nansen Teatret in Frederiksberg . Furthermore, he worked as a composer and musician as well as a film actor in some Danish film and television productions , and he appeared in several Danish television shows .
