Christian Damsgaard
Christian Damsgaard (born February 5, 1968 in Denmark ) is a Danish actor , comedian , screenwriter and voice actor for cartoons .
life and career
Damsgaard completed a corresponding training at the drama school at Århus Teater in 1993 . He then appeared in several different plays and revues on various stages in Denmark, including in Gladsaxe and Nørrebro . To this day he appears in several theater revues, such as in the Græsted Revyen from 1998 and 1999, in the Bornholmerrevyen from 2001 to 2004, in the Esbjerg Revyen in 2007 and 2009, and in the Århus Revyen in 2010 and 2012.
Damsgaard he also worked in the Danish film and television industry, together with the actors Timm Vladimir and Gordon Kennedy . In 1997 Damsgaard made his debut in the comedy series Vladimir og Kennedy , which played several roles. In the 31-part Danish Christmas series from 1999 to 2000 Olsen-bandens første kup , a prequel of the Olsen Gang , he played the role of criminal assistant Walter Holm . In the Danish television series Mit liv som Bent , he appeared together with the Danish actor Henrik Lykkegaard , who played the leading role there.
Since September 2007 he has also worked as a screenwriter in the theater revue Kom chili i din rødgrød at Randers Egnsteater . The play was directed by Kirsten Peuliche and the actors were Soren Hauch-Fausbøll , Susan A. Olsen , Jesper Overgaard Shelf and Rikke Wölck . He recently wrote over 20 different scripts for the theater and most recently worked with Claus Flygare , Henrik Lykkegaard , Henrik Prip , Rikke Wölck and Gunner Frøberg . In the modern play Otto et it næsehorn (Otto is a rhinoceros), indicating a novel Danish children's book author Ole Lund Kirkegaard is based, the main role. In the film drama The Young Years of Erik Nietzsche ( De unge år: Erik Nietzsche sagaen del 1 ) by director Jacob Thuesen and screenwriter Lars von Trier , he also made his debut as a film actor.
Children's program Bamse
After a few other appearances in the Danish television series such as Kongeriget , Hotellet , Jul i hjemmeværnet , Damsgaard was permanently set in 2000 by the television station Danmarks Radio for the children's program Bamse ( Bamse og kylling in German: teddy bear and chicken). There he appeared in the new section of the children's program together with the actor Henrik Lykkegaard . Damsgaard himself, played the main role of Bamses Billedbog , in the corresponding bear costume. Overall, he was with Lykkegaard the fourth and fifth actor who played the roles in the costumes since the beginning of the show in 1982.
Appearance on the entertainment show Gu'skelov du kom
Damsgaard, who is known as an actor for his improvisations on stage, has appeared in the theater improvisation group Alt på et Bræt since 2001 together with Sigurd Emil Roldborg , Kristian Holm Joensen and Dan Schlosser . Because of his previous experience, he was selected for the Danish entertainment program Gu'skelov du kom . Gu'skelov du kom is a Danish comedy show on TV 3 that was broadcast from September to November 2006 and, like its German counterpart, thank God ... that you are there! , based on the Australian format Thank God You're Here . Damsgaard appeared on this program as a prominent guest, where he worked with the Danish actors Simon Jul Jørgensen , Thure Lindhardt , Iben Hjejle , Therese Glahn , Henrik Koefoed , Farshad Kholghi , Jan Gintberg , Rune Klan , who were hired for it . With these he had to solve various tasks within the show through improvisation, such as playing the role of Robin Hood , a cowboy , superhero , ringmaster , break dancer and groom . The show was recorded at Gladsaxe Ny Teater , where Damsgaard also appeared several times as a theater actor.
Mandtra
From 2005 to 2006 Damsgaard published some of his musical performances and audio book stories under the name Mandtra , which could also be subscribed to and accessed as podcasts on podhead.dk . On the corresponding page under the label, several funny stories appeared from him and other prominent colleagues and friends who participated as guest narrators, such as the actors Gordon Kennedy and Soren Hauch-Fausbøll or the businessman Tim Frank Andersen . The pod casts published there were mostly funny, fun and cheerful, but also sometimes very serious. Voice actor
Damsgaard has been involved in many cartoons and animated films as a Danish voice actor. His voice is therefore one of the most famous in Denmark with Danish children and young people, along with that of the voice actor and actor Lars Thiesgaard . He is able to speak a wide range of voices at various highs and lows. He spoke to Pharaoh 1986 Ramses in The Prince of Egypt ( 1998 ) and Atlantis - The Lost Empire , the main character Milo Thatch and Muppets From Space to Pepe said. He also has in many cartoons of Cartoon Network spoken Danish synchronous voice, in the animated film Courage the Cowardly Dog , the main character Courage played, as well as in X-Men Evolution - Mutants , where he worked for the Danish version of the voice of Wolverine and also for Dragonball Z on DR1 , where he spoke the deep voices as Piccolo , Commander Ginyu , and gave his voice in various stop-motion and Caprino films and other formats. He also works as a Danish voice actor in several computer and video games, for example in the role of Sly Cooper in the game Sly 2 and Sly 3 .
