Michael Fee (born August 26, 1942 in Berlin ) is a German prehistorian and former child actor.

Life

Michael Fee's parents are the actor Otto Fee and Doris Krüger-Fee from a second marriage. Michael Fee started school in Berlin in 1948 and from 1954 attended the Arndt-Gymnasium Dahlem boarding school . In addition to his school days, he worked in four feature films, including 1954 in Der schweigende Engel and as cheeky-cheeky Piccolo alongside Hans Albers in The Last Man . He also spoke for some film dubbing, for example, he voiced Brandon De Wilde in the western classic My Great Friend Shane .

After graduating from high school in 1961, he studied German , psychology , philosophy , folklore , prehistory and early history as well as journalism at the Free University of Berlin . From 1966 to 1971 he studied prehistory and early history, Scandinavian philology , folklore, anthropology at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , as well as working on the Förstemann ( old German name book ). Michael Fee received his doctorate in 1971 with Herbert Jankuhn in the subjects of prehistory and early history, Scandinavian studies and folklore. From 1972 to 1976 he worked as an assistant, researcher and teacher at the Institute for Prehistory and Protohistory at the Free University of Berlin, as well as doing IT research. In 1976, Michael fee was as an employee of the Archaeological Museum Foundation Schleswig-Holstein regional museums of Schleswig appointed. There he published numerous specialist articles and led large research projects. In 1986 he completed his habilitation as a private lecturer at the Archaeological Institute of the University of Hamburg . In August 2007, Michael Fee retired.

Michael Fee is married and has two daughters and a son.

For his work in many exhibitions, his participation in many television programs and the publication of 5 exhibition catalogs, he was awarded the Schleswig-Holstein Media Prize in 2005 .
