Michael Gough (born July 9, 1982 in Nowra ) is a former Australian ice hockey player who spent most of his career with the Brisbane Blue Tongues in the Australian Ice Hockey League .
Career
Michael Gough began his career with the Brisbane Blue Tongues , for which he made his debut in the Australian Ice Hockey League in 2005 . The following season he played for the Dundee Stars in the Scottish National League . With the stars he reached the playoff final, which was lost to the Fife Flyers 2: 4 and 4: 6. He then spent the 2007 and 2008 seasons again at his home club. When he moved to Gold Coast after the 2008 season and renamed himself Gold Coast Blue Tongues , Gough ended his career.
International
For the Australian national team , Gough was only on the ice at the World Cup in Division II in 2008 , when the "Aussies" achieved their first promotion to Division I by winning their home tournament in Newcastle .
