Michael Henke (born November 1, 1943 in Küstrin ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life

In 1963, Henke graduated from a humanistic grammar school. He then studied Protestant theology, psychology and education until 1968 and initially worked as a VIkar in Oberstdorf. From 1972 to 1977 he was a school priest at the Leininger grammar school in Grünstadt , after which he was a vocational school priest at the vocational school in Bad Kreuznach until he moved into the state parliament . After his time in the state parliament, he studied political science and education, which he completed with a Magister Artium . From 2002 to 2010 he was a lecturer and lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Social Work in Ludwigshafen , and he also acted as a consultant on behalf of the Senior Expert Service in Latvia , Russia and Mongolia .

In 1984 Henke joined the Greens, within the party he acted as spokesman for the state board, the local board and association as well as the district board in Bad Kreuznach, from 2003 to 2007 he sat on the party council in Rhineland-Palatinate. From 1991 onwards, he was also a member of the party-internal federal working groups for international affairs, democracy and law. In 2004, Henke took over the chairmanship of the Greens in the Kreuznach city council. In 1991, Henke ran for the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament and moved into parliament via list number 1 on district list 2. He was a member of this until the end of the 1996 electoral term. From June 1993 he was deputy parliamentary group leader of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, he also sat on the home and legal committees as well as the study commission for reforming the state constitution. In addition, Henke was a member of the state board of the Heinrich Böll Foundation as well as of the general assembly in Berlin .
