Michael Hilgers (Author)

Michael Hilgers (born December 16, 1971 in Aachen ) is a German physicist and non-fiction author.

Life

Hilgers attended the Schleckheim elementary school from 1978 to 1982 and then switched to the Inda-Gymnasium Aachen Kornelimünster , where he graduated from high school in 1991.

After his community service he studied from 1992 to 1998 at the RWTH Aachen for a degree in physics, combined with a semester abroad at the University of Manchester in 1994/95. From 1998 to 2001 he earned a doctorate in experimental particle physics at the ETH Zurich for Doctor of Science .

He is department head for CAE calculation vehicle functions in commercial vehicle development at Daimler Trucks in Stuttgart . Previously, he held tasks in electronics development (2011–2014) and in the overall vehicle environment.

In autumn 2016 the SpringerVieweg publisher published his series of books on commercial vehicle technology ( ISSN  2510-1803 ).

Hilgers lives with his wife in Weinstadt - Beutelsbach , where he also competes in amateur running events for SV Weinstadt.
