Michael Jahns

Michael Jahns (born December 6, 1976 in Magdeburg ) is a German handball player . His greatest success was winning the German championship in 2001.

The 2.01 m tall left back player played for the clubs TuS Magdeburg , SC Magdeburg (youth), Dessauer HV , Fermersleber SV , SC Magdeburg , TV Großwallstadt , Stralsunder HV (2004/2005), BM Antequera and in the 2009/10 season for the HSG Nordhorn-Lingen . From the 2010/11 season he played for the second division club Eintracht Hildesheim . In addition, Jahns has been training the 2nd men's team from Eintracht Hildesheim, which plays in the Hanover regional league, since the 2012/2013 season. After Gerald Oberbeck's resignation from the coaching office, the Bundesliga team of Eintracht Hildesheim has been training together with Jürgen Kloth (coach 1. A youth) since March 14, 2013. At the beginning of the 2014/2015 season, the contract with Eintracht Hildesheim was terminated. Since then he has been playing in the Saxony-Anhalt League for HSV Magdeburg. Jahns is also a member of the board at HSV Magdeburg.

He played five international matches for Germany and was fourth with the German military team in Seoul.

Michael Jahns completed his training as a retail salesman and studied sports marketing / manager. The son of the former Magdeburg handball player Harry Jahns is married and has three children.
