Michael Jordan (draftsman)
Michael Jordan (* 1972 in Erlangen ) is a German artist and comic strip artist .
Life
Jordan studied media illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and printmaking at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna . He works as a draftsman and printmaker. In 1999 he won first prize at the Fumetto Lucerne International Comix Competition in Switzerland ; In 2002 he was a UNESCO scholarship holder at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Chiang Mai , Thailand . After a visiting professorship for conceptual drawing at Webster University , Vienna, in 2006 Michael Jordan taught illustration at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach from 2008 to 2010 as part of the Friedrichs endowed professorship . From 2013 to 2014 and 2020 he taught drawing and printmaking at Middlebury College in Vermont , USA . In 2017 he was Styria Artist in Residence in Graz , Austria .
His works have already been exhibited in Stockholm, Vienna and Berlin, among others. Michael Jordan lives and works as a freelance artist in Erlangen .
