Michael Krätzer (born March 12, 1962 in Güntersleben ) is a former German soccer player and coach.

Career

Krätzer played at TSV Güntersleben from the age of 7 . Then he moved to Kickers Offenbach . He made his professional debut in Offenbach and played two games in the 2nd Bundesliga . In 1985 he moved to SpVgg Bad Homburg , where he played until he moved to 1. FC Saarbrücken in 1989. Krätzer's most successful time began with the Saarlanders. In the 1991/92 season he made promotion to the Bundesliga with his teammates . In the following season he was immediately relegated, Krätzer played for another year in the 2nd Bundesliga and then ended his career.

After his career as a player, Krätzer moved to the sidelines and became a coach at SV Werbeln, VfB Dillingen and ATSV Saarbrücken .
