Michael Lübbersmann

Michael Lübbersmann (born August 12, 1961 in Osnabrück ) is a German administrative lawyer and former politician ( CDU ).

Life

Michael Lübbersmann grew up on a farm in Belm - Icker and attended elementary school in Icker. He then attended the Carolinum grammar school in Osnabrück, where he also passed the Abitur. After completing his military service , Lübbersmann studied law at the University of Osnabrück . There he passed the first and second state exams and the doctorate .

In 1992 Lübbersmann began his career as an administrative lawyer in the Osnabrück district . There he was an advisor to the senior district director and later head of the planning and construction department. In 2001 he was elected mayor of the joint municipality of Bersenbrück . In 2006 he was re-elected to this office. In 2011 he was elected district administrator of the Osnabrück district with 41.26%. In the 2019 election, he lost 47.76% in the runoff to Anna Kebschull (Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen) after receiving the most votes in the first ballot with 43.39%.

Lübbersmann is Catholic, has been married since 1997 and has one son.
