Michael Lampert (born July 17, 1972 in Höchst ) is an Austrian ice hockey player , coach and official.

Career as a player

Michael Lampert comes from the offspring of VEU Feldkirch , who played in the senior team from 1989 to 2000. With VEU Feldkirch he was Austrian champion several times , won the European Hockey League 1997/98 and the IIHF Super Cup in 1998 . After a move to EHC Linz and a season at EHC Lustenau , he played again for VEU Feldkirch from 2002 until 2012. After the end of his (professional) career he played - in addition to his offices at VEU Feldkirch - from 2013 with HC Rankweil in the fifth-class 3rd league of the Swiss Ice Hockey Association .

Internationally, he played with the Austrian national ice hockey team at the Winter Olympics in 1998 and at the World Ice Hockey Championships in 1998 .

Michael Lampert was initially head coach at VEU Feldkirch from 2010 to 2012 . In August 2012 he became the club's managing director and hired the Slovak Ivan Dornic as head coach. In January 2013 he took over the position of head coach again, while Dornic was demoted to assistant coach.

From 2013 to 2015 he was still managing director of the club, before he took over the functions of trainer, managing director and sports director at VEU in May 2015.
