Michael Lueg [ luːk ] (born  December 4, 1961 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German journalist and presenter for Südwestrundfunk .

Career

Lueg grew up in Bad Dürkheim , where he gained his first journalistic experience as a local reporter for the daily newspaper Die Rheinpfalz . After graduating from high school , he worked in France for the French daily newspaper Le Dauphiné libéré as a reporter and then did his military service at the German armed forces broadcaster Radio Andernach .

Then began Lueg his study of German literature and political science at the University of Mannheim and at the same time his career at what was then Southwest Radio (SWF) -Studio Ludwigshafen as a radio / television reporter. After successfully completing his studies, Michael Lueg completed the classic editorial traineeship for radio and television at the SWF. Since 1984 he has worked there as a journalist, reporter, editor and presenter for the radio programs SWF1 and SWF3 and as a television presenter for various programs and magazines on Südwest-3-Fernsehen . He also spent during the volunteer time as a foreign correspondent in Paris and as a political correspondent in the former German capital Bonn .

After the merger of Süddeutschem Rundfunk (SDR) and SWF to Südwestrundfunk (SWR) , he initially presented Die Nacht from Baden-Baden and the morning , afternoon and good evening Rhineland-Palatinate from Mainz. Since 2002 he has been moderating the morning show and has been the sole main presenter of the weekday morning show SWR1-Guten Morgen Rheinland-Pfalz! at prime time from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. on SWR1 Rhineland-Palatinate in the self-drive studio from Mainz. His direct representative for the show is Steffi Vitt . At the SWF in Baden-Baden, he was able to gain experience moderating early morning programs.

As an entertainer, Lueg also presents public events for SWR and other clients. The content ranges from political panel discussions to "over-30 parties".

He lives with his family in Gau-Odernheim in Rhineland-Hesse .
