After the publishing house was founded by Michael Müller, the first travel books appeared in 1979 in a simple layout, without photos, but with maps and illustrations drawn by himself, e.g. B. to Portugal. From 1982 the publisher also published travel literature about German regions, such as a book about Franconian Switzerland by Hans-Peter Siebenhaar.

The offer also includes guides for city tours and urban surroundings, some with electronic media. The publisher has been producing a GPS- oriented series of hiking guides since 2009, and since 2010 travel and hiking guides have also been offered as apps for smartphones , tablet computers and the iPod touch .
