Michael MacMillan

Michael MacMillan (* 1957 in Scarborough , Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian film producer and CEO of Blue Ant Media, which he founded in 2011.

Career

MacMillan graduated from Queen's University with his friend Seaton McLean and are both founders of Atlantis Films Limited. His career in the film business began in 1981 with the short film The Olden Days Coat , for which he was responsible as a producer with his colleague Janice L. Platt . In 1985, Platt and MacMillan received an Oscar nomination for the short film The Painted Door at the 1985 Academy Awards in the " Best Short Film " category . MacMillan was also nominated twice for a CableACE Award for his involvement in the television series Bradbury's Chamber of Horrors . He received a Daytime Emmy Award , a Gemini Award and two CableACE Awards for his involvement in the television series Monkey House . The completion of the films was realized with the participation of his company Atlantis Films, which was sold in 2007. Since 2011 he has been CEO of Blue Ant Media, which is responsible for the channels Blue Ant Entertainment and Blue Ant Extreme .

As a producer, he was most recently responsible for the television film Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town in 2012.
