Michael Nungesser

Michael Nungesser (born April 12, 1950 in Darmstadt ) is a German art historian , author and translator . He has made a name for himself above all with numerous publications and exhibitions on Latin American art and art in public spaces .

Life

Nungesser was born in Darmstadt in 1950. From 1956 he attended elementary school and then the Max-Planck-Gymnasium in Ludwigshafen, where he passed the Abitur in 1968 . From 1968 to 1970 he studied art history , archeology and German studies at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, from 1970 to 1973 art history, modern history and modern German history at the Free University of Berlin and from 1973 to 1977 art studies at the Technical University Berlin , where he obtained his Magister Artium degree in 1977 .

Since 1980 he has worked as a freelancer for various magazines and since 1996 as a freelancer for the General Artists' Dictionary . Nungesser has been writing in Spanish for De Verdad Digital since 2016.

Nungesser is a member of the German section of the International Association of Art Critics AICA . He lives and works in Berlin .
