Michael Javier Ortega Dieppa (born April 6, 1991 in Palmar de Varela ) is a Colombian football player .

Career

society

Michael Ortega played in his youth at Deportivo Cali and began his professional career there from January 2009 and took part in the Copa Sudamericana 2009 . A year later he moved to Mexico to Atlas Guadalajara .

For the 2011/12 season Michael Ortega was loaned to Bayer 04 Leverkusen until the end of June 2012 . He made his debut on February 18, 2012 against FC Augsburg when he came on for Renato Augusto in the 80th minute . After the season Ortega initially returned to his home club, but was then loaned out again for the 2012/13 season on August 6, 2012 in order to secure a purchase option. A day later he was awarded to the second division club VfL Bochum .

National team

Michael Ortega took part in the U-20 South American Championship 2011 with the Colombian U-20 , when Colombia finished sixth and last in the final round. A few months later he was also part of the squad at the 2011 U-20 World Cup in Colombia, when the team was eliminated in front of a home crowd in the quarter-finals against Mexico.
