Michael Pilz (film architect)
Michael Pilz (* 3. June 1943 in Arnstadt , German Empire ) is a German art director , stage and Production Designer .
Live and act
From 1961 to 1965, Pilz trained as a set designer at the German National Theater in Weimar and attended Franz Havemann's master school . From 1965 he worked in this role at the National Theater. In 1969 he managed to emigrate to the West, and the now Munich-based Pilz worked as a freelance production designer on a large number of German television productions from the early 1970s. His most ambitious designs include the buildings with carefully designed, historical fabrics such as Walter Hasenclever, The Heir apparent, Prussian Night and Hambacher Spring .
With his decorations, Pilz also supplied an abundance of pure entertainment series such as Der kleine Doktor , Graf Yoster gives himself the honor , Hohenstein Castle - Errwege zum Glück , Sinan Toprak is the incorruptible , Anna Maria - A woman goes her way as well as several early episodes of Crime series Tatort and two films from the Polizeiruf-110 series. The directors he has worked with include Eberhard Itzenplitz , Oswald Döpke , Rainer Erler , Klaus Emmerich , Franz Peter Wirth , Oliver Storz , Frank Strecker and Michael Braun .
